Found these feathers underneath an oak tree in front of my house this morning. Don’t think there was a happy ending to it. But, here’s to the beauty of Mother Nature anyway. I’m pretty sure these are Blue Jay feathers. #bird #life #nature #birding #beauty
It’s not yet October but now is the perfect time to donate your old, or new but just want to give away, Halloween costume. More specifically, a child’s costume, because Ween Dream, a national 501c3 company based in New Orleans, wants to give them away to kids in need. Ween Dream staff members Alli Scott Craig and Kelsey Meeks act like fashion models showing off some of their recent acquisitions. More is needed though. Find out how to give at weendream.org or 504-982-5747. #weendream #halloween #scary #costume #neworleans #portrait

They were hoping to open by today(Sept. 9), but a few things got in the way such as a broken A.C. window unit, back top, their pickup truck unexpectedly now needs repairs, and the cooler they were waiting for wasn’t delivered on time. But Keasha Drayton-Colton and her husband, Burnell, plan to stick it out, sweat and all, by taking it one day at a time to fulfill their dream of opening their Lower 9th Ward Market. It will feature locally grown veggies and basically be a 7-day-a-week farmer’s market/grocery store. The only one of its kind in that region of New Orleans.
Hardcore Tulane football fans take their season-ticket seats for a test drive. The new Yulman Stadium opened on Friday and fans were allowed to explore it. A full day before the game some of them couldn’t wait to check out the views from their respective seats. #tulane #tulaneu #football #neworleans #life #sports
